Look at your LJ userpics list.
If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one.
If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one.
If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one.
If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em.
List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, what significance does it have.

I like Evangelion, I thought the picture was cool and the sentiment is entirely valid. Hell really hath no fury like a woman scorned.

I've done NaNoWriMo for three years running now. This particular icon is a placeholder for the NaNo icon I put up when I do those really annoying word count posts every November. Besides, hell, I kicked NaNo's arse last year!

Ah, Something Positive; just up my alley, sense of humour-wise. And I think every gamer, GM or player, has had moments where they've just wanted to stand up and scream that in-game because they're that fed up.

Transmetropolitan rocks. And let's face it, sometimes I do dry-rape grown-up brains for truth. Or at least, I embark on vitriolic rants to metaphorically dry-rape any brain that happens to come along.

This was the cutest damn picture I'd seen in awhile, and it demanded an icon made of it. And there are days when it all goes so horrifically wrong for some reason that I just want to stand there, look really cute and pathetic and cry, "Hug meeeeee!" So the icon does it for me, as it's cuter than I'll ever be.

Because I am pagan, but hate admitting that I'm pagan because the minute I do, I become intrinsically linked with crystal-waving, tree-hugging n00bs, freaks and Otherkin who wouldn't know the point of the whole pagan 'thing' if it rose up and smote them mightily. So this icon seemed to fit, and I was glad it was gankable.

I had to throw in at least one other one that I made and put some effort into, so here is Spike, eloquently stating what I am wont to say to people who piss me off ... or at least, what I wish I could say to said people. Besides, Spike as a character just utterly rocks.

Best. Doctor. Ever. Combined with line inspired by Serenity, the movie continuation of what has got to be the only sci-fi series that really caught my interest all the way. (Though I will admit to not having seen Babylon 5 yet and everyone assures me that I will like it.)

And finally, because it has to be done:

I don't play the game, but I know the rules and am something of a Silent Hill fangirl. (And the DVD's out! I hope it came out on UMD. That's one film that I do not in the least bit mind shelling out for in multiple formats. Seriously.)
