It gets better. I've had dungeons where I've said "I've never done this one before so you're going to have to walk me through it", and the party has been LOVELY and totally gentle.
If they're worrying about counting everyone's dps all the time and not explaining the plan in anything but shorthand, they're not a casual social guild. Fuck them.
