Plans, plots and miscellany
Buh. Not enough sleep. Part of this is my own fault (I'd forgotten about how much chatting to Americans can fuck up your sleep schedule), but I thought at the time that I may as well stay up in the hopes that by the time I got to bed, I would be too tired to care if
dodgyhoodoo wound up snoring in my ear. I was kinda wrong, but I have Skank-doom, so am happy.
Oh yeah, I got an email confirming acceptance of my Dreamspeaker at Charleston by Night. I will do something forum-related at some point (most likely something to do with getting involved with the Barons of Suburbia, a Ecstatic / Verbena conclave who're looking for new maniacs; I seem to fit the bill). Last night's chat game session thing involved a rather rambling chat with two of the three other resident Dreamspeakers (played by
coyote_weeps and
ilyena_sylph, if you must know), which was fun. OOC discussion went along the lines of favourite authors, how the leftovers from Frankenbox can help
ilyena_sylph move away from the POSness of her current computer if we can get said bits shipped and, again, parts of CbN I might want to join. (Changeling this time, though playing a Malk does still appeal...) I am definitely feeling the love but again, trying not to let it go to my head. Am also thinking of storyline, as one of the mods suggested I could do so. Moo Hoo Ha Ha.
Tomorrow, after a good long lie-in, I fully intend to go back to my Sims, now that I've got it so that it actually works. There are still a fair few bits and pieces that I'd like to delete, mostly in terms of outfits and furniture, and that should help some. Roll on next week, when (now that I know what the Frankenbox's mobo actually runs) I can get some decent RAM for the fucker and possibly even shell out for that flatscreen monitor. Whee. Vastish financial outlay. Still, it's better than having half my desk taken up by clunky monitor, and I'd like to be able to face the screen without having to sit at a 45-degree angle to my desk.
