We've Been Expecting You...
Just as a hors d'oevre, I thought I'd give the Mage quotes for the last couple of sessions. ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
dodgyhoodoo's been keeping track of them in game, but I'm the better typist so:
Skank: (to Lucius) Don't taunt the evil.
Lucius: Skank! Deal with your hobgoblin!
Skank: (re: Remus) I don't know! What do you want - twenty questions? ID quiz? DNA test?
Lucius: Yes, please.
Peter: (probably to Lucius) Okay; the universe is going to hell in a handbasket, and you're worried it might be to do with you?
Elise: Is that actually you?
Skank: *sniffs armpit* ...Yes.
Skank: It's okay; it's a magical hole to a really cruddy apartment.
Looking out of a window in the cruddy apartment, Lucius sees a charred dead bloke, pointing at him.
Lucius: *waves cheerily*
Charred man: *gives Lucius the finger*
Lucius: (after staring at a severed hand for several minutes) Peter's.
Skank: And you get this from what - Jhor-o-vision?
Skank: Graah! I'll kill you with my fucking intestines!
Basically, the session involved Lucius running into a woman named Rose who may well be Lucius' Eurydice, they've found the kidnapped Orphans - the child-mages - in various bits of Silent Hill (those not held directly by Incarna are either roaming the streets on their own or hiding out in various spots as tribes; there are representatives of all nine trads among them, and they appear capable of using magic even there), and they attended a Maeljin Incarna banquet. Lucius nearly shagged the Urge Wyrm of Desire and Skank, upon seeing Michelle puppeteered by the Lady Aife, Queen of Pain, using silver barbed wire, got his scrotum punctured by Lady Aife's stiletto heel. All told, not the social event of the season. Plus one of the kids was singing "Nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana SKANK-MAN!" to the tune of the old Adam West Batman theme music. "Skankman and Deathmonkey, Boy Blunder". It was a hoot. There were also zombie rabbits in that creepy-arse amusement park. That was fun. They've also encountered Remus, who apparently leads one of the child-mage groups in downtown Silent Hill. And Peter got kidnapped, forced to research dark evil shit for the Maeljin Incarna, tried to sabotage them and got his right hand cut off. Hence one of the quotes above. All in all, good session, and next session they storm the church to rescue Molly, Peter, Rose, Michelle and at least two of the child mages from certain death, as well as breaking all of the child mages out of Silent Hill.
A few other short notes:
1) They've apparently been in there for at least six months, though it doesn't feel like that long and night and day have little meaning in the constant fog anyway.
2) Among the child mages are representatives of all the Traditions. All of them. Yes, even the Verbena. Apparently, the Wyrm took them hostage because they thought the Verbena would be the best way to indoctrinate the Sleepers into this cult. However, their belief in life above all else also made them some of the hardest to turn. The Cult of Ecstasy also has some young members in that bunch, as do the VAs. And, more to the point, they get along better than their elders ever did, given the adversity through which they've been fighting for however long they've been in that place. Skank's at the point of taking the whole bunch of them over to the Council of However-the-Hell-Many and saying, "They've only been Awakened for a couple of years max, and trained by Nephandic-Technocrat arseholes, and they do this shit better than you do! EVERYBODY OUT! THEY'RE HAVING YOUR JOBS!"
3) Molly's gone back to being eight, and according to the rumours, she's "not quite right". She's also apparently been telling people about Skank and the others, hence Skank's fame among the kids.
*sigh* Don't wanna go back to work tomorrow. At least I feel half-decently rested. Though that may be the caffeine at work.
