New Doctor

David Tennant was not as bad as I feared. But in a way, he was about what I expected.

Don't get me wrong; he was good. It's just that ... well, he seemed a bit in Barty Crouch Jr mood through the whole thing. You know, full-on intensity all the time. I liked Eccleston because, quite frankly, he was generally an easy-going lad until the shit hit, at which point he would lose it. There was no calm to Tennant!Doctor. I'll keep watching, because it might just be a "getting comfortable with the role" thing and besides, he was good. It's just ... y'know, Eccleston was better.

RESPECT TO BILLIE PIPER. The lady can act. That must have been a bitch of a transition, one character to the other pretty well constantly, but she did it, voice and all.

Beyond that, still great plotting, still great Doctor Who-ness and all told, I'm not disappointed. Eccleston was better, but I am not disappointed.

For the first Sunday in ages, I'm not running anything. Wow.
