More fun with Sims 2 hacks. This time the inspiration came from an entity on Mod the Sims 2 calling itself Numenor. This entity has come up with a hack that means you can put up invisible walls, and then a mesh for floor-to-ceiling glass panels for windows. Someone else did floor-to-ceiling prison bars and matching door. So what I wound up doing was the following:
1) Built a mid-sized room with invisible walls.
2) Installed staircase within the invisible walls.
3) Built a second level of invisible wall-room on top of the original.
4) Put bars all around the walls.
5) Put the metal grille floor tiles on floor and ceiling of this upper level.
6) Built a connecting corridor from one of the rooms of the house to the invisible-walled lower-level room.
7) Put in a bed (mattress on floor), bookcase, desk and chair.
Result: hovering cage-bedroom next to one wing of Fort Fetish. There may be screencaps.
I also put Sim-Michelle in the Sim-Fetish house, along with Pyramid Head. Killed off Pyramid Head. He will now haunt Fort Fetish.
Still waiting for someone on MTS2 to come up with the Heaven's Night neon signs.
In other news, things're looking up, job-wise. The people I signed up with Wednesday afternoon are going to put my CV in for a job in a small publishing company -- they need someone with an interest in media and office admin skills. I think I can safely say I fit into both categories reasonably well. There's that and the committee secretary position with the other place, so fingers tightly crossed -- well, when I don't need them for cooking or typing.
weaselbitch coming over for pasta later. We'll see if this haircut of hers is as bad as she claims.
