Holiday!

I've been up for about three and a half hours and I've done some things that could actually be considered productive! Fine, not the job hunt as yet, but that's mainly going to involve calls/drop-ins at various agencies and I thought I'd have at least one day where I wasn't stressing over the job thing. This is mainly in the hopes that it will cure the sodding migraine. (It's not really working very well, but at least the headache seems a little better.) In any case, the productive stuff involved some bank-related crap and the washing-up. Can I just point out how much I hate the washing-up? Still, the kitchen was getting kind of icky and [livejournal.com profile] cholten99 just hasn't been in to do it.

Now I've done my bit for the household and am not really sure what to do with the rest of the day/evening. Kai Doh Maru is going to wait until Thursday, where my actual birthday will involve [livejournal.com profile] cholten99 buying me takeaway Chinese and watching said anime with me ... and not talking through it. ^_^ So that's out. I could actually watch the last Neon Genesis: Evangelion DVD -- [livejournal.com profile] cholten99 watched it without me awhile ago ... which was when he started bitching about how much he hates the ending ... and End of Eva ... and Death and Rebirth... So we won't be doing Eva for the BESM series.

That's something I could do -- sort out what I'm going to do about the BESM thing. While I definitely want to run a Lain-style one-off (may the PTBs grant me the strength to keep it simple and one-offy; in a world like the one shown in Serial Experiments: Lain I could go on forever), there's some other stuff I also want to do in a one-off sort of sense. Something like Noir, for example, though I will admit that I hesitate to say to my guys, "Okay, you're assassins...". On the other hand, half the time they either choose to play assassins anyway or they end up that way over time, and I'm no better. Or perhaps Escaflowne -- and suddenly I realise the possible folly of throwing my group into a world where there are catgirls and giant killer robots. Anyway, there are endless possibilities for stories in this case, and it's all a matter of what we have time to play.

Or I could just veg out for awhile and not think about it overmuch. After all, I am on holiday.
