I'll agree that Kirsty is annoying, and the weak link in Ultraviolet.

But I always saw Michaels thing for her being the hopeless, unrequited infatuation that does happen. Yeah, he could show that a bit more, but that is why there's no chemistry, he doesn't figure in her world in that fashion.

On twilight: It had the "Oooh!" of romance, the "Gasp!" of suggestions of sex, but without the scary possibility of actual crotch-banging. That's what the people that liked it responded to.
