From what I know about you, you do a damned good job.

One thing I do know is for sure: virtue has never ever paid: only arse-licking, networking, bribery or seduction (if you're in the position to do any of those) pay.

You do something I couldn't do: phones and people, and you do it well. This probably doesn't help, but I admire you for it.
