Kat-calling

thessalianSo after he goes, I decide to go on the grocery run. After all, I stay in the house for any length of time, I cry. So why bother hanging around?
When I get home, there's a message on the answerphone. It's from Kat, who never rings, particularly not for me. I ring back and, after letting her squirm for a few seconds (she does get so flustered when she doesn't know what to say), I just put her out of her misery with, "He rang you, didn't he." Not a question.
She says he's worried about me. Well, tough shit. If he'd been that worried about my feelings, he'd have told me up front what what going on with him and us instead of fucking around and not telling me until he up and left for his holiday. But no, instead he does the damage and leaves other people to clean up the mess, regardless of whether I want them to.
Fine. Okay. I'm going to finish choking down what dinner I can, collect Angel S3 and then wend my way to Kat and Mark's. I wonder if he took Chez Geek with him. If he did, maybe I can suggest a game of StarMunchkin. I could use some mindless fun.
