Massively Multi-Moron Online RPG
I do like FFXI. I just really sometimes wonder why. I mean, I seem to get a large percentage of total idiots. What kind of moron comes up to someone who's obviously farming and asks for some of their items with no provocation or offer of recompense? Then again, who comes up to someone who's obviously doing some quest or other and, out of the blue, asks said someone for 3k gil for no reason?
We had the party from Hades the other night, too. Well, I say 'party' - I think the proper term is 'clusterfuck'. They made me solo out to the middle of a seriously high-powered zone in the middle of the night, when all the deadliest mobs come out, and when I realised that I didn't have a map for the zone they were camped in, the guy who came to lead me to the party got me lost and then vanished, leaving me stranded in the middle of an unknown area with all exits blocked by big mobs that could kill me. They claimed they couldn't find me to help me, which is why I died twice. Then the guy whose job it was to pull in monsters got a Giant, which called to a friend for help (some of them do that) and, since it was two giants plus a party full of semi-competent magic-users and one magic user who was resting to get over Raise-related weakening, we all got our arses kicked again. The party mostly broke up; I got handed leadership, but since the only person who didn't disband homepointed in Whitegate (many, many zones away), I gave up. I desperately need to go kill something to up my Deathgnome's XP so she doesn't delevel next time she dies. But then again, I can fry Dhalmel with very little effort now. Go, me!
My knee is still absolutely fucking painful, and I only got about four hours' sleep so I'm knackered. I'm tired of feeling this shitty, you know. If it's not my stomach, it's my knees, or it's both. Waaaaaaah.
