Well, we didn't get half the stuff done that was previously advertised. This is my fault, as I am obviously not completely recovered from the lurgy and had an attack of "OMGImgonnadie" in the Apple store. Also, I wore the DoomBoots and I haven't worn them in ages so they did my feet in. We didn't go to the Tokyo Diner either, having been lured away from fine Japanese food by a place called Ultimate Burger (which was actually rather good, though so much sauce in the burgers that eating them was messy). Still, there are the following tidbits:
1) iTunes is sort of my friend. Bizarre how they have three Voodoo Glow Skulls albums but only the most recent Garbage album. And no Radiohead bar what can be found on the Help! charity album thing and the Six Feet Under soundtrack. Still, Katatonia (not Catatonia; no Mulder and Scully track monstrosity here) album, four old Static-X tracks, a VGS track (I had to own a track called "Band Geek Mafia"), the original Pardon Me by Incubus (I have the acoustic version and while it's good...) and an old Shed 7 track I always liked. Must get another one of those cards and get a list of what I want together before I use it.
2) We have coffee, chocolate covered espresso beans in several varieties and requisite huge bag of sweeties.
3) There's a stonking 4 for £20 sale on DVDs at Virgin at the moment. We were tempted by Resevoir Dogs, further tempted by the American version of The Grudge, but when I pointed out to
dodgyhoodoo that they had The Wicker Man in the sale and he saw that it was the special edition containing both the original and the director's cut, he completely caved. So we have those three, The Princess Bride (also in the sale) and a copy of Pulp Fiction that I found for £6. It was a good day for entertainment.
4) Little purple stars! (See
dodgyhoodoo's journal for details when he updates.)
So now we're waiting for Chinese takeaway to arrive. It's been a pretty good day.
